Youth yoga is a healthy way to connect with your breath and move your body. Many of the techniques offered can positively affect your mood and provide tools for coping with stress in everyday life. Mindful movement can also offer benefits for mental health\, such as helping with concentration and anxiety.For this program\, you will need a yoga mat and a pillow/cushion. You can also choose to bring a light blanket. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and without restriction.About the instructor:Marie-Louise \;is passionate about community\, health and wellbeing. She has been teaching various therapeutic styles of yoga since 2015 in martial arts studios\, boxing gyms\, yoga studios and now virtually from her home. \;In 2016\, Marie-Louise was introduced to Kundalini Yoga in the Y.O.G.A. for Youth Teacher Training Program. She was amazed how this practice challenged her strength in many ways and inspired her to learn more. The breathing techniques\, movements and relaxation methods were so beneficial to help her mind and body find more ease.Grades 7-12Registration is required (one spot per participant). Registration is for the entire 4 week series.This virtual program will take place via Zoom. Zoom is a video conferencing tool that allows people to meet together online.
