KPL Kids Presents: Horn and Harp Melodies Concert

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Virtual Event
Children's Services - YouTube
We welcome all children and families to join us for a very special sensory friendly concert from The Four Corners Collective (featuring musicians from the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony). This sensory friendly concert was designed for children with Autism or other sensory differences. However, we incite all children and families to join us!

13 feet of brass tubing, 47 strings of gut, nylon and steel, and a history of hunting calls and angelic harmonies – there isn’t much that a combination of the French horn and the harp cannot accomplish. With a delectable selection of classical, popular and folk melodies, harpist Lori Gemmell and hornist Kathy Robertson will have your feet tapping on the ground and heart floating in the heavens.

French Horn - Katherine Robertson
Harp - Lori Gemmell

The Sounds of Drake

7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Virtual Event
You can recognize Drake’s music as soon as you hear it. Dark, quiet, muddy and lo-fi are just a few terms that describe the Canadian singer’s sound. Although you’ve heard of Drake, you may not know the person responsible for all of the instrumentation and production on Drake’s records - Toronto’s Noah Shebib.

Join us for this one hour program where we’ll pull apart what makes up the “Drake sound” and try some of the techniques using Garageband.

Registration required. Adults/Teens
