Join David Gascoigne, two-time past president of Waterloo Region Nature, as we explore the trails in the Pioneer Park neighbourhood. This leisurely walk will follow the stone dust path as it meanders along the river. We hope to see different species of urban wildlife that call this area home including herons, ducks, geese, mink, muskrats, beavers and maybe even bald eagles.
We will meet at Pioneer Park Community Library, 150 Pioneer Dr. Parking is available. We encourage you to bring binoculars with you, if possible, which are included in our Wildlife Kits which you can check out if you don't have your own pair!
In the case of inclement weather (heavy rain), the walk will be rescheduled to a later date.
