In this presentation, Sadaf Faisal will talk about the smart technology-based products that are becoming available for patients to support their medication intake, what type of medication management issues people face at their homes, and how they tackle them.

Sadaf Faisal is a licensed pharmacist in Ontario and with over 10 years of experience in community, long-term and primary care settings. She is also a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist and currently pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Tejal Patel at the University of Waterloo, School of Pharmacy. Her Ph.D. research is focused on medication use problems in various patient populations, including older adults and people with chronic disease, with a particular emphasis on medication management and adherence issues through the use of various innovative technologies.
