Character Sketch Part 2: Creating Equitable Characters (Virtual)

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Event Details

When we create characters who reflect our world, we validate and educate our readers to experiences they may or may not know. Portraying characters as humans is only the first step of building a character sketch. Next we have to understand them. Race, ability, gender and sexuality, beliefs and more all play a part in character development and as writers we all must participate in this delicate, yet vital mission.

Join this three-week program and learn the whys and hows of creating equitable characters who will uplift, not tear down, our readers.

Note: You do not need to attend Character Sketch Part One: Creating Authentic Characters to join Part Two.
