Let's celebrate Asian Heritage Month together! Join Chef Sai Phounsavath from Underground Flavour Group as he teaches us how to prepare Mok Pa (Laotian Steamed Fish) & Laap Het (Laotian Mushroom Salad). The recipes will be sent in advance of the program so you can purchase and prepare your ingredients ahead of time.

Chef Sai was born in Thailand but comes from Laos descent. Naturally, South East Asian cuisine is his repertoire. Chef Sai uses his cooking as a way to express himself and his main passion is studying, cooking, learning, sharing and understanding his food.


Chef Sai specializes in Laotian, Vietnamese & South East Asian cuisine and offers his food through the Waterloo Region. Chef Sai has been passionately cooking his food for 25 years and claims that "while kids were playing with trucks, I was making curry with my mom".
