Raspberry Pi and the "Internet of Things"

5-Week Course
Tuesdays at 6:30pm

Sept 24

Oct 1, 8, 15, 22

No, it’s not a pastry.  A Raspberry Pi is an inexpensive, pocket-sized computer!  Unlike regular computers, these devices can easily connect to real world objects to convert any old electronic device, into a “smart” device that can be controlled/automated with code.  After initially learning how to use the Raspberry Pi, and a quick introduction to coding, each week participants will learn to construct more and more elaborate electronic contraptions.  By the end of the series we should be able to connect to everyday household appliances so that they react to your mad scientist whims.

We will provide all the electronic components needed for the course.

No previous coding experience required.  Patience is required.  Keyboarding skills would be an asset.
