Event Details

A successful garden is one that ultimately makes the end user happy - happy to see it, work with it, live in it and love it.  This talk will offer some simple and useful design tips that can be used to create the 'bones' of a garden that can and will change over time, demonstrated by the speaker's personal experiences in and evolution of his own downtown garden.

Speaker:

Perry Grobe is the current co-owner of Grobe’s Nursery and Garden Centre located near Breslau.   His working career in horticulture began while he was still a boy, and as a landscape foreman he also attended the University of Guelph in Horticulture where he graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture. He has practiced as a provincially registered Landscape Architect for 18 years, and is a past President of the Waterloo Chapter of Landscape Ontario. He enjoys searching the province for new and unusual plants, for growing tomatoes, and after much practice has found that if a glass of red wine in the garden makes one content, a bottle makes one very happy indeed.

No registration required.
