Event Details

Waterloo Region's Community Awareness and Response to Emergencies (CARE) Program is a partnership between Region of Waterloo Emergency Medical Services, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. John Ambulance and the Canadian Red Cross. 

Join us for this information session providing an overview of:
  • How to access 911 and who will respond
  • The use of CPR and AEDs (Heart attack and stroke)
  • Considerations and legalities associated with AEDs
  • Care of the conscious choking victim
  • Potentially life-saving first aid procedures
  • The importance of Medical Alert devices
Participants will have the basic knowledge to react to an emergency situation.  The CARE program does NOT provide certification in CPR / First Aid / AED.
