The Official Launch of the Great Canadian Family Portrait Project (GCFP).

The GCFP is a collaboration between Reception House Waterloo Region and local photographer Brian Limoyo. Over the past year and a half, Brian has been offering portraits to refugee families and individuals to document their new beginnings in Canada. Participants who chose to tell their stories were invited to share about their journey to Canada, their hopes and dreams in their new community and what they have had to leave behind. These stories and photos have been made into a book to help celebrate new beginnings, as well as bring awareness to the issue of family reunification - a common theme throughout the book. All proceeds of the book sales will go to programs at Reception House which support refugee integration through the region (programs such as the Family Partnership Program:
