Artist-at-Work: Cartoon Thinking with Dr. Dan Holt

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Event Details

Join Dan Holt for impromptu cartooning instruction as you stop by his Artist-at-Work demonstration. He will be covering the basics of cartooning for the beginner. Whether you are 12 or 72 you can cartoon almost anything. He has published a book on the subject, Cartoon Thinking, which includes nine lesson plans for anyone who wishes to teach cartooning to self or others.

In August, a gallery show “Fantastic Fantasy” will feature more than 50 of Dan’s works in Central Library Art Gallery. Dan obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual art and arts & crafts with a teaching certificate in grades K-12, Masters in Education, and a Ph.D. in Psychology and Education. He is now a retired professor, which allows more time to create his art.
