Nature in the City: Raptors - the Bird of Prey Kind

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Central Library
Meeting Room C

Event Details

With David Gascoigne. Raptors are the top predators of the avian world; reviled by some, loved by many. Human attitudes towards them have changed over time and at present most people appreciate these magnificent creatures. Raptors are both diurnal and nocturnal and fill an important role in preserving the equilibrium of the environment in which they operate. They are superbly equipped for their way of life, with hearing and vision far beyond human capabilities. Come and learn more about birds of prey and how they impact the world around us.
