As an urban gardener, it is necessary to garden in less traditional ways such as container gardening and indoor gardening. In this workshop, we will cover some basic indoor gardening tips and tricks and upcycle a glass or ceramic piece which will be used to plant an indoor plant into. We ask that you bring a container such as an old mug, glass jar, drinking glass etc. that you can paint with ceramic paint (will need to be heat tolerant) to make your planter. Limited amount of glass containers can be provided if you don't have one.

About the presenter:
It
has always been important to me to serve and support my community. I have been
lucky to have had the opportunities to do that, initially through working in
the non-profit sector and then with the formation of Nancy’s Creations and
Seeds.
Nancy’s Creations and Seeds continues to
serve the community through knowledge, donated plants, crafts and seeds to
several organisations locally including: Anishnabeg Outreach, Waterloo Region
School Food Gardens, Waterloo Region Community Garden Network, Wisahkotewinowak,
Cambridge Self-Help Foodbank, nursing homes, local community gardens among
others.
More recently, I have also provided
various trainings to organisations such as University of Waterloo, Anishnabeg
outreach and Waterloo Horticultural Society.
