BeatScape: Learn to Make Popular Drum Patterns Using Step Sequencers

Come join us in Heffner Studio, as we learn about the history of step sequencers and how they revolutionized music production. An in depth tutorial on the historic TR-808 drum machine will be presented, as participants will learn fundamental drum patterns using a virtual simulation of this iconic piece of hardware. Participants will learn basic rhythm theory, drum sequencing, music production, music arrangement, mixing, and music history during this hands on music production workshop. Registration is required as available seats are limited. This is an in person program. No prior music knowledge is required.
