85 Green Speaker Series: The Importance of Bees

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Event Details

Join us for an evening discussion about bees with Central Library's resident beekeeper Erica Shelley. Erica will be talking to us about our busy little friends, the work that they do for us, how climate change is impacting them and in general how very important they are to the ecosystem.
This is one of an ongoing speaker series we've been having for our 85 Green project, which helps promote nutritional literacy and environmental sustainability. With this also being Science Literacy Week, we hope you can jump into our Zoom talk and learn more about this year's theme Climate.
If you would like to know more about the beehives here at the library check out this link: https://www.kpl.org/sites/default/files/kpl-beehives-2019-infosheet.pdf

This virtual program will take place via Zoom. Zoom is a video conferencing tool that allows people to meet together online. You can use Zoom on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device. Learn more here: https://zoom.us/home?zcid=2478
