Join us for an important lecture about Climate Change, just in time for Earth Day. This talk will be given by Dr. Chris Fletcher and Dr. Johanna Wandel who are both Associate Professors in Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Fletcher will explain why climate change is happening and what further changes we can expect in Canada in general, and Waterloo Region in particular, over the next 30-50 years. Dr. Fletcher will conclude by demonstrating why we urgently need to begin cutting carbon dioxide emissions, and when we might expect to see the benefit of those cuts. Dr. Wandel will give an introduction to national, provincial and regional emissions reduction targets and progress toward these targets.
