Waterloo Region Family Literacy Week is pleased to welcome Denise Miller, an acclaimed Canadian storyteller, to share her stories with families. Stories connect us to each other, to nature, to our ancestors and descendants, to the present, the past and the magic of imagination. Sign up to receive the link to the video Denise has created for our event where she shares three of her favourite stories that are sure to delight the whole family!

Family Literacy Day is celebrated in Canada every year on January 27 to raise awareness of the importance of reading and doing literacy activities together as a family. Waterloo Region Family Literacy Week is being offered by organizations that support intergenerational literacy. Together, we have come together to offer an exciting list of fun and free literacy activities for the whole family.
