Pamela Mordecai is a Jamaican-born poet, children’s author, and critically acclaimed novelist who now calls Kitchener home. Her novel Red Jacket was shortlisted for the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Award in 2015. In 2014, her Caribbean Counting Poem was chosen by The Guardian (UK) as one of the Top 10 poems to remember and recite. She has written numerous textbooks, children’s books, poetry collections, and short stories.
