A tool and die maker by trade, Mike discovered airbrushing six years ago. In 2011 while building remote control airplanes and helicopters, he decided to teach himself to airbrush. He watched YouTube videos and tutorials.

In 2015 Mike picked up a paint brush and started painting with oils. He often uses the two mediums together. He strives for a REALISM effect in his portraits. While this is still "just a hobby", he is getting busier by the month as he fulfills requests for portraits of beloved pets, cars, boats, motorcycles and of course, people.
