Event Details

A book launch with author Jockie Loomer-Kruger

Valley Child tells the universal story of childhood through a collection of 32 poignant memoirs and 32 full-page illustrations. The illustrations are exuberant and joyful; alive with vivid colours and textures, inventiveness, and wit. The accompanying stories are not merely background for the pictures; they help create moments in time. Moments that are not nostalgic, but something far richer: a child’s truth seen through the eyes of the adult the author has become.

Refreshments and book sales will be available.

The author gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund.
