Join us for a special lecture from the University of Guelph’s Dr. Byram Bridle. Dr. Bridle is an Associate Professor of viral immunology and his team is working on potential vaccines to combat COVID-19. The lecture will share Dr. Bridle’s assessment of timelines for COVID-19 vaccine development and the long-term importance of vaccination research locally. There will be time for questions after the lecture.

Dr. Byram W. Bridle is an Associate Professor of viral immunology at the University of Guelph. His research program focuses on the development and optimization of vaccines for the treatment of infectious diseases and cancers. In March of this year he was commissioned by the government of Ontario to engineer several potential vaccine candidates to provide protective immunity against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), which is the causative agent of the coronavirus disease that emerged in 2019 (COVID-19).
