Event Details

It's Plastic- Free July, and we want to help you save your clothing from the landfill. Now is the time to mend and repair! Does your favourite sweater have a hole? Has your child's beloved teddy bear lost an eye? Are there one too many tears in your jeans? Join us for a fun evening of mending, repairing and relaxing!

This event is for all skill levels.

Don’t sew? Don’t worry, our volunteers can  help you learn how to breathe new life into your  possessions.

If you can sew, then you can treat this event as a  ‘sewing-bee’. Get lots of inspiration and maybe even learn a new trick or two!

You can repair many things, including (but not limited to) these examples:

 buttons

tears

stuffed animals

umbrellas

knitting

slippers need re-enforcing

etc

We will help you save it from the landfill, and give it a second life. Don't buy new, repair!
