Death by Substance Use and Community Impact

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Event Details

Grief looks and feels different for everyone. There are no checklists to complete or a finish line to cross. There are no stages. Grief is a journey that everyone will travel at some point in their lives. That road can be a particularly difficult one to travel when the death is a result of substance use. In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31, Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region invites you to participate in an education session that addresses the grief associated with substance use deaths, aims to break down the associated stigmas and provides strategies to support ourselves and others who are impacted.
