with Robert McLeman – Nature Watch Programs and Citizen Science

Citizen science is a fast-growing approach to improving our understanding of the natural world. Researchers in many fields are asking members of the public to help them collect and analyze environmental data, and to share their findings with others.

Dr. Robert McLeman is a geographer at Wilfrid Laurier University who co-directs a number of citizen science initiatives including FrogWatch, IceWatch, MilkweedWatch, PlantWatch and RinkWatch. Join him as he describes what we have learned through these and other citizen science initiatives about climate change and the conservation of endangered species.
